Kenya is a sovereign governed state in east Africa, the capital city is Nairobi its lies on the equator with the, Indian ocean to the south east, Tanzania to the south and Uganda to the west. Kenya covers 581309 sq km. The capital, Nairobi is a regional commercial hub, the economy of Kenya is the largest in east and central Africa. Agriculture is the back one of our economy followed by tourism. Kenya exports tea ,coffee and fresh flowers to Europe.
The country is named after Mount Kenya the second highest mountain in Africa. Mount Kenya originally come from kamba, gikuyu and a embu people. They called the mountain “kiinya” which means the calabash. The colonial British would not pronounce the word “kiinya ” the name subsequently changed to mount Kenya.
